Useful app of the week.

In a movie, but need to pee? Then you need to download the RunPee app. It will tell you the best time during your movie to run and pee so you miss as little as possible of the movie.

But plan ahead. When people use phones in movies, it can get ugly. Find out your best pee-time *before* you head into the theater!

  1. It is crazy how people can make an app about anything. I probably wouldn't find this app useful because even when you leave the movie to "pee", you are still missing out on a scene regardless if its important or not. Best advice would just pee before movie begins or be an adult and hold it till movie is over.

  2. I have actually thought about something like this. I don't know why but I always go use the restroom during a movie. Just bad timing on my part I guess. Since you can't pause the movie I guess the next best thing would knowing the best time to go during a movie. I wonder how well this will do.

  3. After reading this, I thought to myself what else will people think of? But the more I thought about it, the more I thought it would be pretty useful. It is ingenious, especially for those who attend movies frequently, I myself, watch more movies at home than I do at the theater, so I would not use it as much, but I am positive that this app has a market. Very creative!

  4. I was hoping when I read the title of this blog, that it was talking about something else all together. All I thought what was, what are people going to come up with next? However, I guess if someone goes to the movies this time of app would be helpful. Now that I know it's actually available, I might actually use it. That it, if I go to the movies. I usually wait until the movie is available on redbox.

  5. I find this post absolutely hilarious and find it interesting what people will try and make successful these days. Since you aren't able to be on your phone during the movie why would anyone get this app? Just in case? You can not plan on when you have to go to the restroom so why would anyone look to see when a great spot to leave a movie is beforehand?

  6. Sooo fun! I love this app. Never fails that your body needs to relieve itself of liquids somewhere near the middle of the movie. Go figure, when you purchased a refillable 60 oz. drink and popcorn before entering the theater. When is the right time? Everyone has probably left a theater at a major turning point in the movie plot when you thought it was safe to leave. You return clueless as to how the movie progressed in your short absence. Now, there is a solution. I like that it can be set to issue a discreet vibration when it is time to flee for the nearest empty stall! For sure not a life or death importance application, but it may seem that way while sitting in a room full of strangers when you just gotta go!!!

  7. Ha Ha! Now that's some funny stuff. I actually think planning ahead to use the restroom during the worst part of the movie, is a great idea. I wonder who gets to make that decision on when is the right time to go; are people gonna get to vote? It amazes me that people are coming out with AP's like this, that are being used and making money. It makes me think on making an AP myself. I wonder...

  8. This is pretty funny and interesting. I am one of many people that always have to use the restroom and always unfortunately have to during a movie. I don't think I'd ever use this app but I wonder how much people would.

  9. I just went to the app store on my phone to see what people thought of this app and I was surprised to see that it has five star ratings. Even though not many rated it, the comments are pretty encouraging. It is only ninety nine cents and many out there will find useful, especially those with bladder problems. Compared to missing the best part of a twenty dollar movie because of an urgent situation, this seems like a fair investment. No lie this article made me laugh a little.

  10. Good to know such an app exists. Would want to avoid the Curtis Reeves situation by using this app. In regards to the shooting it is common courtesy to not use your cell phone or electronic devices during a movie, and in my opinion especially during 15 min previews prior to the movie. Another helpful advice would be if you really need to use your phone stick it under your shirt and put your shirt over your head. Sometimes I get urgent messages from family during movies and reply back with that method, or simply just walk to the hallway near the big screen so that way you can respond back while watching a bit.

  11. This is disturbingly useful! I know so many people, including myself who could benefit from this application! I believe that this has high potential out here if marketing goes smoothly! What a great yet odd concept!

  12. I guess I'm just old school because I simply just go to the bathroom before the movie starts. Most movies are about 2 hours long and I do just fine with that time frame. With the high price of going to a movie these days the last thing that I pay attention to is my phone. Which use of phones is prohibited in the theatre these days. On the other hand kids are not quite as easy to deal with. They always have the worst timing. But when they say they have got to use the bathroom do you really check your phone and ask your kid to wait for the best time to leave during the movie? As a mother I'm sure you don't want to take them but when they say they have to go is when you get up and take them. For me personally I see no reason to use an app like this. But I'm sure for some people this is great. The concept of the app and what it does seems good and would be beneficial for the right person..
